Convegno Musicologico e Storico

Da Mercoledì 18 ottobre fino a Domenica 22 ottobre 2023  – Auditorium Pittaluga – via Parma, 1 – Alessandria

Il Centro Studi LR Edizioni (lr-edizioni.it) e il Conservatorio di Musica “Antonio Vivaldi” di Alessandria, cureranno l’Edizione 2023 delle Giornate di Studio “Ars Sacra – Nel Decennale”, Conferenza di Studi Musicologici e Storici.
Gli incontri si svolgeranno ad Alessandria (Piemonte, Italia), nella storica sede del Conservatorio – “Palazzo Cuttica”, sale Auditorium e/o Abbà-Cornaglia –, dalla mattina di mercoledì 18 fino alla domenica, sempre mattina, 22 ottobre 2023.
Tre giornate saranno dedicate a temi musicologici, etnomusicologici e storico-liturgici, mentre una sarà orientata verso tematiche più archivistico-biblioteconomiche. L’evento si concluderà con una Tavola Rotonda che precederà la chiusura ufficiale dei lavori. L’organizzazione si impegna nella pubblicazione entro un anno, con formula on-demand, degli atti del congresso.
Alessandria, importante centro di origine medievale, è situata strategicamente quasi al centro del Piemonte, collegata tramite treni e autobus con Milano (90 km), Genova (80 km) e Torino (90 km).

CALL FOR PAPERS (PROPOSALS)
Gli organizzatori invitano gli studiosi interessati a presentare Proposte di Relazioni, Round tables, Poster presentations e propri Studi riguardo la musica sacra, la storia e il repertorio delle cappelle musicali ecclesiastiche, i loro maestri, temi riguardanti teologia, liturgia e musica nella tradizione Cristiana, in uno
spazio di tempo che può abbracciare tutte le epoche della nostra storia culturale. Sessioni speciali saranno dedicate ai temi “I Libri Corali di San Pio V”, “Musica Sacra e Liturgia nelle Cappelle Musicali” e “Il Maestro di Cappella: compositore e uomo di fede”.
Nelle proposte inviate, di qualsiasi tipo, bisognerà indicare il titolo dell’intervento, un abstract di circa 200 parole, il nome del proponente, l’ente di appartenenza (se presente) e l’indirizzo mail. Oltre a ciò, bisognerà allegare un breve curriculum (max 15 righe) e indicare eventuali attrezzature richieste. La relazione dovrà avere una durata massima di 25 minuti (corrispondenti a circa un testo di 8 cartelle per un totale di 16.000 caratteri). Non è possibile inviare più di un abstract. Le accettazioni, invece, saranno comunicate ai singoli studiosi entro mercoledì 20 settembre 2023.

Ars Sacra 2023 – Nel Decennale
Musicological and Historical Conference

The Study Center LR Edizioni (lr-edizioni.it) and Conservatory of Music “Antonio Vivaldi” of Alessandria, will curate the 2023 Edition of the Study Days “Ars Sacra – Nel Decennale”, Conference of Musicological and Historical Studies. The meetings will take place in Alessandria (Piedmont, Italy), in the historic seat of the Conservatory, –“Palazzo Cuttica”, Auditorium and/or Abbà-Cornaglia rooms – from the morning of Wednesday 18 to Sunday, always morning, 22 October 2023.
Three days will be dedicated to musicological, ethnomusicological and historical-liturgical themes, while one will focus more on archival-library issues. The Conference will conclude with a Round Table which will precede the official closure of the works. The organization commits to the publication within one year, with on-demand formula, of the congress proceedings.
Alessandria, an important center of medieval origin, is strategically located almost in the center of Piedmont, connected by train and bus to Milan (90 km), Genoa (80 km) and Turin (90 km).

CALL FOR PAPERS (PROPOSALS)

The organizers invite interested scholars to present Report Proposals, Round Tables and Posters presentations, and own Studies regarding sacred music, the history and the repertoire of ecclesiastical musical chapels, their teachers, topics concerning theology, liturgy and music in the Christian tradition, in one space of time that can embrace all the epochs of our cultural history.
Special sessions will be dedicated to the themes “The Choral Books of St. Pius V”, “Sacred Music and Liturgy in the Musical Chapels” and “The Maestro di Cappella: composer and man of faith”. Submitted proposals of any kind must have a title with an abstract of approximately 200 words, including the proposer’s name, institution to which they belong (if any) and email address.
In addition to this, you will need to attach a short curriculum vitae (max 15 lines) and indicate any equipment requests. The report must have a maximum duration of 25 minutes (corresponding to approximately a text of 8 folders for a total of 16,000 characters). It is not possible to submit more than one abstract.

Report Proposals, Round Tables, Posters and Studies must be submitted to centro.studi@lr-edizioni.it indicating “Proposta Ars Sacra 2023” as the subject, no later than Friday 15 September 2023.
Acceptances, on the other hand, will be communicated to individual scholars by Wednesday 20 September 2023.
